Steel pipes with a seam

SEAMED STEEL PIPES FOR COMBUSTIBLE MEDIA - PIPES WITH REQUIREMENT CLASS A (PN-EN 10208-1 STANDARD)

Manufacturing and purpose

Manufactured as welded pipes using the following methods: HFW welded with high frequency, SAW submerged arc welded pipes, COW welded in a combined manner.
In the case of spiral pipes, the welds of the tape connections are allowed upon agreement. Used in the gas and petrochemical industries, e.g. in the distribution of gas to the public.

Steel grades used

Dimensions

Outside diameter: 33.7mm to 1626mm

Wall thickness up to: 40 mm

Length: 6000mm to 12000mm

Research and requirements

Tightness - pipes should be subjected to a water test (7Mpa) or electromagnetic testing.
Straightness - 0.2% along the entire length, locally <3 mm / m

SEAMED STEEL PIPES FOR COMBUSTIBLE MEDIA - PIPES WITH REQUIREMENT CLASS B (STANDARD PN-EN 10208-2)

Manufacturing and purpose

Manufactured as welded pipes using the following methods: HFW welded with high frequency, SAW submerged arc welded pipespowder, COW welded in a combined manner.
In the case of spiral pipes, the welds of the tape connections are allowed upon agreement.
Pipes in this class have higher requirements than class A pipes in terms of the number of steel grades, chemical composition, mechanical requirements, etc., so they can be used for the transport of flammable substances.
