Steel pipes with a seam

SEAMED STEEL PIPES FOR PRESSURE APPLICATIONS. ELECTRICALLY WELDED NON-ALLOY AND ALLOY STEEL PIPES WITH SPECIFIC PROPERTIES AT INCREASED TEMPERATURE (STANDARD PN-EN 10217-2)

Manufacturing and  purpose
Manufactured as heated or welded pipes with a spiral or longitudinal seam. For pipes with diameters, the possibility of more than one segment (circumferential seam) is allowed.
Welding methods: gas welding, HFI welding, submerged arc welding for longitudinal and spiral seams.

Steel grades used
old unalloyed quality - P195GH, P235GH, P265GH,
special alloy steel - 16Mo3

Dimensions
Outer diameter: 10.2mm - 508mm
Wall thickness: 1.4mm - 16mm
Length: 6000mm - 12000mm

Research and requirements
Straightness: <0.0015 pipe length (less than 3mm per meter of pipe).
Tightness: pipes should be subjected to water (7Mpa) or bad vibration test.
Research:
TC1 - smelting analysis, tensile test, flattening test, expansion test, leak test, dimension control, visual explanation, NDT of scale, material identification for 16Mo3 steel.
TC2 -Melting analysis, tensile test, flattening test, expansion test, leak test, dimension control, visual explanation, scale NDT, pipe body NDT, material identification for 16Mo3 steel.
