SEAMLESS CLOSED SECTIONS MADE COLD FROM NON-ALLOY AND FINE-GRAIN CONSTRUCTION STEEL. (10219-1.2)
Manufacturing and purpose
Cold formed round, square and rectangular hollow sections from non-alloy and fine grain structural steels. Due to their durability and simple structure, they can be used to make durable structures at relatively low costs. Examples of applications include, but are not limited to, frame structures for buildings, machines or vehicles. They are also used in the construction of bridges, masts and other structures. The types of both unalloyed and fine grain steels are specified in the PN-EN 10210-1.2 standard. No leakage tests are required for these pipes.
Steel grades used
for unalloyed steels: S235JRH, S275JOH, S275J2H, S355JOH, S355J2H
for fine grain steels: S275NH, S275NLH, S355NH, S355NLH, S460NH, S460NLH
Dimensions
Outer Diameter: 21.3mm to 1219.0mm
Wall thickness up to 50 mm
Length: 6 - 12 m
Research and requirements
The tests for pipes are carried out according to the relevant standards, where the following are performed: a smelting test, a tensile test, an impact test for pipes with a wall thickness above 6mm and several others.
Straightness: 0.2%: full length for round tubes and 0.4% full length and locally.
Tightness: not required for these pipes.
