Welded steel pipes

SEAMED STEEL PIPES FOR PRESSURE SERVICE. ELECTRICALLY WELDED NON-ALLOY STEEL PIPES WITH SPECIFIC PROPERTIES AT LOWER TEMPERATURE (NORMA PN-EN 10217-4)

Manufacturing and purpose
Welded circular section pipes made of non-alloy steel with specified low temperature properties with a diameter from 10.2 to 508 mm made of normalized cold-formed strip with welding and seam or tube normalization, hot-rolled or normalizing strip cold forming and heat sealing or cold forming and heat sealing and reduction rolling.

Steel grades used
P215NL and P265NL

Dimensions
Outside Diameter: 10.2mm to 711mm
Wall thickness: 100 mm
Length: 6 - 12 m, over 12 m by agreement

Research and requirements
Tests: melt analysis, tensile test at room temperature, flattening test for D <600mm and ratio D <= 0.15 but T <= 40mm or ring breaking test for D> 150mm and T <= 40mm, mandrel expansion test for D <= 150mm and T <= 10mm or ring test for D <= 114.3mm and T <= 12.5mm, impact test at 20 ° C, leak test, dimensional control, visual inspection, non-destructive longitudinal weld test for category TC1 , non-destructive testing of the weld and pipe body for longitudinal defects for category TC2.

Straightness: <0.0015 pipe length (less than 3mm per meter of pipe).
Tightness: pipes should be subjected to a water test (7Mpa) or electromagnetic testing.
