What are Combiwall tubular piles and pile walls?
The Combiwall (combination wall) system is based on the cooperation of two types of elements:
Tubular piles – serving as the main load-bearing components, transferring vertical and horizontal loads into the ground,
Intermediate elements (sheet piles / profiles) – connected to the piles with specialised connectors ensuring the wall’s tightness and continuity.
Such a configuration allows the pile wall to transfer significant bending moments as well as earth and water pressures, which is crucial in conditions involving great embedment depths and high loads from above-ground structures.
