Anti-corrosion protection is a key element in ensuring long-term durability of steel structures used in industry, construction, and infrastructure. Impostal offers comprehensive processes for surface preparation and protection in accordance with the highest quality standards, combining advanced technical facilities with the supervision of certified FROSIO specialists.
Professional surface preparation – blasting and pre-treatment
Effective anti-corrosion protection starts with proper material preparation. At Impostal, this process is carried out in a modern blasting chamber measuring 5 × 5 × 24 m, designed to handle even large structural components.
Blasting with angular steel grit
increased adhesion of paint coatings,
removal of mill scale, corrosion and machining residues,
achieving high surface cleanliness according to ISO 8501.
Angular steel grit ensures the correct surface roughness profile, which directly contributes to the durability and resistance of the anti-corrosion system to environmental factors.
Advanced coating systems – 3000 m² painting hall
Impostal operates a modern 3000 m² painting hall equipped with ventilation installations and application condition control systems. This makes it possible to apply coatings compliant with EN ISO 12944, including the highest corrosivity categories (C4, C5, CX).
Technological capabilities

painting of large-scale elements using 16-ton overhead cranes.
Three overhead cranes, each with a lifting capacity of 16 tons, enable efficient handling of heavy structures and ensure safe positioning during painting and drying.
Quality supervision – FROSIO Level 3 inspector
All anti-corrosion protection processes are supervised by a FROSIO Level 3 inspector, representing the highest level of competence in coating quality control and surface preparation. Each project undergoes detailed verification, including measurements of environmental conditions, surface cleanliness, roughness, and coating thickness.
EN ISO 12944 certification
The Impostal facility holds EN ISO 12944 certification, confirming that its processes, materials, and procedures meet strict requirements for anti-corrosion protection. This ensures that customers receive coatings that provide long-lasting protection for steel components, even in the most demanding operating environments.
Logistics and storage areas
Anti-corrosion protection work requires proper spatial organization. Impostal has a 4000 m² storage yard, allowing safe placement of elements before and after painting. This facilitates the handling of large construction batches and ensures continuous production flow.
